Green Party Rally in Drogheda


Welcoming the visit this Saturday to Drogheda by the Green Party on the occasion of its national local election candidate launch Louth chair and Drogheda candidate Rachel Pearson highlighted the importance of Local Government to our the every day lives of voters and the fact that, "With a Green Minister at the helm, Local Government is going to be more effective in delivering key services, more prominent in supporting the local economy and more democratic in its functioning, particularly in regard to planning decisions and land zonings.

Continuing Rachel said, "what is most important is creating that the agenda of each local authority be about good quality of life with clean water, food, air and soil all supported by sustainable local economies.
