North East Senators united in call for redress for Nearey Victims
Senators from across the north east and all parties this morning sought debate with Minister Harvey to address the thirty five women who are excluded from the original compensation scheme.

Speaking after the Order of Business Senator Mark Dearey thanked the leader of the house for acceeding to the request and expressed the hope that Minister Harney's response would be a constructive one when she does come into the senate in early June. Senator Dearey commended Positive Action for their ongoing campaign for the women who have suffered such grievous trauma at the hands of Michael Nearey.
