Mark’s Green Army out in force at Croke Park
Action in Croke Park today mirrored the close contest that is looming in the Louth constituency. Cllr Mark Dearey and his team had a formidable presence in the approach to grounds with posters, canvassers and Louth flags to give away. The mood was buoyant with GAA supporters having plenty of words of support for their own election candidate in Louth Cllr Mark Dearey.
Speaking before the match Mark said “It’s a great pleasure to be here at Croke Park cheering Louth on and I am looking forward to a great game today.” Pitted against Wicklow the Louth team were geared up for a good game and the crowd were not disappointed. The final score was so close that a replay is required on 27th May at Parnell Park. After an exciting finish Dearey said “The game was just like this weeks election – well matched opponents with it all to play for, just too close to call!”
