Biography
• Mary has been a Teacher of Art in the Local Community School in Ardee for the last 30 years. She has had a long and friendly connection with many families in the area and has encouraged the integration and involvement of young people in many community art projects.
• Mary has four grown children who all attended Ardee Community School and are currently following their own career paths.
• Sellafield.
She first came to the public attention in Co. Louth in 1994 when she and three others from around County Louth, took a court action against British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL), to seek an end to reprocessing at Sellafield. During the 10 years of the court action, they succeeded in highlighting the dangers of reprocessing nuclear fuel, the alternatives to reprocessing and influenced the Government to take action.

Improving Recycling facilities in Ardee town.
Promoting more amenities and activities for the young people of Ardee.
Creating solutions to problems of traffic congestion
Provide kerb or bollards to separate moving traffic from vulnerable cyclists
Promoting sustainable development and
Community involvement to make Ardee a better place for everybody
